Arriving from Milan, take the Gravellona Toce A8/A26 Exit, 104 km:
Autostrada Dei Laghi/A8, A26 deviation towards Gravellona Toce, Gravellona Toce Exit. Continue along the SR229 for 6 km, towards Omegna-Lago d'Orta.

Arriving from Turin, take the Borgomanero A26 Exit, 152 Km:
Motorway A4, A26 deviation Borgomanero Exit. Follow the signs for Gozzano, Orta San Giulio, Pettenasco and Omegna.

Arriving from Locarno (Switzerland), 56 Km:
From the Italian border take the SS34 towards Gravellona Toce - Verbania. Once you reach Gravellona Toce, continue for 6 km along the SR229, towards Omegna-Lago d'Orta.

From Briga (Switzerland), 106 Km:
Passo del Sempione towards Domodossola. Follow the S33 towards Milan, take the Gravellona Toce Exit. Continue along the SR229 for 6 km, towards Omegna-Lago d'Orta.

The easiest way is to take the Novara-Domodossola line, which arrives directly at Omegna Station, a few minutes from the historic town centre.

Instead, the Milan-Domodossola line arrives at Verbania – (Fondotoce) Station. From there, take a bus to Omegna (approx. 15 min.).

From Milan you can also take the train that stops at Stresa and then reach Omegna by taxi or private shuttle.

Navigazione lago d’Orta is the only Public Service in operation from March to October that takes tourists and residents to the Island of San San Giulio from all lake banks. An additional ferry runs every Thursday as it's market day in Omegna.
